Today's workplace can be stressful—full of the demands of living a fast-paced, high-pressure life—which can be hard on our bodies, minds, and relationships. However in the last 20 years, research has shown that when people practice mindfulness they can be attentive to everything going on around them without reacting. With this skill set, people begin to relax more in the midst of their workday. In this course you will learn what mindfulness is and how to apply it to planning, communication, meetings, teamwork and change. You will practice simple tools and methods to expand mental and emotional capacity, strengthen resilience, reduce stress, and improve decision making in the workplace. You will also learn additional mindfulness practices that you can do at home to strengthen your capacity to stay present and focused.
